In this satsang, Ma enlightens us that the secret to a joyful life is to remain anchored in the Self and derive all happiness and fulfilment we need from there.
Even while living in the household, amongst close relatives and friends, one should not develop attachment towards them. All relations, worldly possessions, name and fame are changeful and fleeting. To develop attachment towards them is to get afflicted by thoughts of anxiety, desire and worry. One gets enmeshed in unending thoughts; mind will never be at peace and life becomes joyless.
Ma tells us that our association with wife, children etc is like the brief meeting of travellers. God alone is our constant companion. So, we should remain in house like a guest and avoid having strong identification with anything. Do whatever is needed to be done from time to time excellently well, but with the feeling that I belong to my Lord alone. Everything in this world is perishable and ultimately gives us sorrow. Wise ones should never foster undue attachment towards them.
