Swamiji makes an in-depth analysis of verse number 2 which speaks about the subject of discussion in Srimad Bhagavatam.
The discussion in the text is about Dharma, which enables one to live a value enriched life. Dharma empowers one to maintain equanimity and remain peaceful despite disturbances in life. Srimad Bhagavatam discusses this Dharma openly. Through Srimad Bhagavatam we come to know the Truth which supports the entire fleeting world and leads us to auspiciousness.
Bhagavatam also provides the redressal to all the three-fold miseries of human life.
Swamiji makes a profound analysis of the misery that our mind and intelligence undergo. Discussing Ramayana, Swamiji speaks about King Dasaratha who underwent severe mental agony when Rama decided to leave for the forest exile. The agony and torment were so much that it led to his death. Giving another example from the post-independence era, Swamiji highlights the torments that the human mind goes through.
