In this Global Satsang based on Isha Upanishad, Swamiji reminds us about the main message of the first verse. The entire universe is an appearance in the Consciousness. If we can conceive of the world as a manifestation of Brahman, the whole world will become nectarine.

Real enjoyment can be had only by Tyaga (renunciation). Tyaga does not mean any external renunciation of home, wealth etc. But it is the internal renunciation of possessiveness, desires, likes & dislikes, doership & enjoyership and clinging. As long as desires are there, the mind is stressed. When any desire gets fulfilled, the mind gets momentary happiness but soon the mind is again haunted by fear, desires, likes and dislikes. The real joy is inner. All the happiness of the world is nothing compared to the inner sukha coming out of desirelessness. The Joy or Sukha is maximum when the mind is free of desires.

Discussing the second Mantra, Swamiji says that if a seeker can do everything thinking that the whole world is pervaded by Atma (Ishavaasyam idam sarvam), then nothing will bind him. He will function and do everything but his mind will be free of desires.

The aim of human life is to attain the state of freedom and expansion by the knowledge of our real identity. The Upanishad warns us that if we think we are a small identity and do not identify with our real identity, then we remain in darkness and ignorance.
