In this global Satsang, Swamiji reiterates the important hidden messages and meanings in the initial portion of Kaivalya Upanishad. Discussing even the smallest word, he points out that a seeker must be vigilant in grasping the unexpressed messages of the Upanishad. A Sadhaka must churn his mind and intelligence constantly and make them subtle, pure, flexible and expansive.
Ashvalayana, the seeker in the Upanishad, approaches Brahma to receive instructions on the Supreme Vidya (Brahma Vidya). Having enough of Sadhana Chatushtaya (the four-fold qualities of a seeker), he had ample regard, value and dedication for the Supreme Knowledge. He knew that there
was a knowledge, which was superior to all the objective knowledge in the world, gaining which one attains the Imperishable Brahman. He had a great yearning and aspiration to be instructed on the way to realize this knowledge. Knowing the importance of a Guru for reaching his goal, he approaches Brahma with humility and Shraddha.
His first query to Brahma shows his yearning and dedication to know the Truth. He sought to be instructed on Brahma Vidya by which all constrictions, limitations and delusions are forever removed. The attainment of the Para Vidya (Supreme Vidya) is not an external knowledge which one has to gain or know. It is a knowledge in which the seeker becomes That. It is the Realization of one’s own identity. It is an internal experience which dispels all delusion and ignorance and bestows freedom and fulfilment.
Swamiji will be discussing 'Voice of Upanishads'. The Global Satsang will be based on Kaivalya Upanishad. | Live Satsangs with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST.
