Continuing his elucidation on Karma Yoga, Swamiji emphasizes that Bhagavad Gita speaks about internal renunciation of all actions, through Yoga. One who has renounced all actions, whose doubts are dispelled by wisdom, and one who regulates the mind and senses, does not get bound by any activity.
A Yogic practitioner must give up all delusional clinging. His mind must be established in wisdom and discrimination. When one has a Yogic attitude, then every activity he performs will be in conformity with the wheel of activity set in motion by Nature. Every action will then become a Yajna, an offering to the Universal Lord.
Karma Yoga is not only doing Karma, but doing all activities with a Yoga attitude, a Samatva Buddhi. The intelligence should be resolute and persistent in the practice of this Yoga.
The mind of the Buddhi Yoga practitioner must become doubt-free, by means of Knowledge. Our fundamental doubt is about the ‘I’ within. A seeker must understand and realize the witness ‘I’ within, the observer. This perspective helps dissolve doubts and leads to a state of blissful understanding that in the level of the ‘I’, no activity takes place and no effect ever befalls.
The Sadhana of a seeker lies in grasping, understanding and applying the essence of Yoga in daily life. The journey towards wisdom and enlightenment involves reflecting on and understanding the teachings of Bhagavad Gita. It leads to a doubt-free and joyous life, free from anxieties and tension.
