In this talk, Ma speaks about the inspiring messages of Srimad Bhagavatam. Although it is considered a text of devotion, it is the essence of all Vedanta, the non-dual knowledge. It speaks about the unity of Atma and Brahman. It is a sacred text which inculcates devotion, which leads to dispassion, which further leads to God-Realization.

It is very important for a seeker to Introspect on the messages of Srimad Bhagavatam. Ma highlights the significance of cultivating devotion to bring peace and tranquility and freedom from anxiety. When one cultivates devotion, all one’s evil tendencies are removed and the whole being becomes purified.

Srimad Bhagavatam inspires one to cultivate ‘Ananya Bhakti’ (unconditional devotion), which is untouched by any motivation or expectation. This one-pointed devotion to the Lord completely destroys misery, delusion and fear from the mind of a devotee and brings peace and calm. The mind of such a one-pointed devotee will automatically and constantly flow towards the Lord and will be firmly fixed at His feet.

Ma explains the characteristics of such a Supreme devotee who wants nothing other than the Lord. He sees the same Lord in all beings and works for the welfare of all. Such a devotee, understanding that everything is the Maya of the Lord, does not get affected by any external situation. Srimad Bhagavatam motivates us to be such a supreme devotee, by transforming our entire personality. It inspires us to divinize all our speech, actions and thoughts.
