In this episode, Swamiji exhorts everyone to install the Lord in one’s own heart with total fondness and reliance. Swamiji assures us that once this is done, the Lord will take care of all our needs.
Continuing to discuss the personality of Sri Krishna, Swamiji says that everything about Krishna is extraordinary and divine. Each facet of his life is unique-whether it is his birth, his toddlerhood, his youth or his advanced age. Srimad Bhagavatam unveils different perspectives of Krishna. Swamiji revels in discussing the Krishnatva as presented in the text by Vyasa Deva and Suka Maharishi.
Swamiji begins discussing the background story of Srimad Bhagavatam. He speaks about king Pareekshit who succumbs to his anger and commits a grave mistake of being irreverent to Shamika Maharishi. The son of the Rishi curses the king to die in seven days. The Rishi, when aware of his son’s curse, points out the rashness of his act.
Swamiji asks us to put ourselves in the place of the King and the Rishi and imagine how we ourselves would have acted in such a situation. Swamiji says that introspection is essential to imbibe the lessons inherent in these stories.
