In this Satsang, Swamiji discusses the fifth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita exhorting listeners to contemplate upon the message and make it their own.

Sri Krishna says that true knowledge is enveloped by ignorance and hence human beings are deluded. By the pursuit of wisdom, ignorance slowly gets destroyed and one becomes fulfilled. When
ignorance is removed completely, the Supreme Truth is illumined. The knowledge, like the Sun, reveals the Truth. In the fifth chapter, Sri Krishna exhorts Arjuna to shed ignorance by the pursuit of knowledge, through which the Supreme Truth will be revealed.

Knowing the Supreme, identifying with the Subject ‘I’, taking refuge in the Subject, making it a wholesome pursuit and discipline, making it the supreme goal of life, one becomes freed of all impurities and sinfulness. The knowledge takes away all thoughts and indulgences about rebirth. It removes all the blemishes of the mind and intelligence.

Bhagavad Gita sings the song of the immortal Self, which is unborn, eternal, changeless, which never ceases to exist. Swamiji urges seekers to let the intelligence be submerged in the contemplation of the Soul, which is the one source, the subject. A seeker must take refuge in the immortal Soul. In spirituality, the entire Sadhana is inner. The body is inert; it cannot generate experiences. The body becomes functional only because of the inner mind. So, the whole focus of a seeker must be the inner personality.
