In this Satsang, Ma speaks about what true worship is and what an offering to the Lord is! In Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna says that a devotee may worship with leaves, flowers, fruits or even water but the offering must be smeared with a steadfast and unmotivated devotion. The worship must be made with a pure mind, given to discipline, restraint and sublimity.

The devotee must offer all his activities to the Source (Lord) who is all-pervasive. The bhava of the mind should be that the all-enveloping presence has given us the body, limbs, organs, mind, intelligence and skills to do work. The devotee must be connected with the Lord through all activities and interactions and the mind and intelligence must be dedicated to the Supreme Lord.

How to offer all activities to the Lord? In and through all activities and interactions, one must remember that everything belongs to God. One must associate God with everything. Mind must think of God and the intelligence should tell the devotee that God is the source from which everything has emerged. For all activities to be a true offering, one must work without possessiveness, clinging or competition. When one understands that both Sukha and Duhkha are given by God, the whole world is God’s and everything belongs to Him, all activities become an offering.

In reply to questions, Ma says that the best pilgrimage is the inner one where one takes a dip in the inner presence (the Soul). Ma urges listeners to find time for their spiritual pursuit. When love for the path and yearning for the goal are there in the mind, one can easily eliminate many of the unnecessary activities of the day and remain established in the inmost Presence.
