In this orientation session of the Retreat, Ma speaks about what the attitude of the listeners should be! She urges the participants to listen with keen attention and focus and introspect on the concepts presented.

In the mind of a seeker, there is always a separation between spiritual life and worldly life. The quest of the seeker must be to make the whole life divine, spiritual. He must strive to make all thoughts, actions, behaviour and speech divine and spiritual.

A seeker must be dedicated to his pursuit. He may have duties and responsibilities, but the aim must be to become enriched through all activities and interactions. Ma urges the participants to listen one-pointedly, absorb the message and later introspect on it and seek clarifications if there are doubts. She emphasizes that spiritual progress will happen if one has love and dedication for the Spiritual path.
