Based on Ashtavakra Samhita, these talks were held during Malaysia Jnana Yajna 2013.
This talk was held on 14 August 2013.

In this Satsang, Swamiji emphasizes that the Consciousness is One, sovereign, unchanging subject within the body. It is something that makes us conscious of other things as well as itself.

Exposing this spiritual wisdom, Sage Ashtavakra says that a seeker must come to a firm resolution and assessment that the Consciousness (one’s own real identity) is unconditioned, unaffected, unchanging. This fire of wisdom should burn the dense forest of ignorance. He must drop his mistaken identity with the body-mind personality, understand his own real nature, and be free of grief.

A man becomes what he thinks. So, a seeker must think constantly that he is the liberated, changeless, ever-present consciousness which is the Witness, which is the all-pervasive, full presence within. In the level of the Atma, there is no action or interaction, attachment, or desires. It is only because of delusion and ignorance that one says that one is involved in Samsaara.

From birth we have a mistaken feeling that ‘I am the body’. We must cut across this ignorance with this knowledge and become free. The understanding must dawn that “I am the unattached, non-acting, self-luminous, stainless Consciousness.” It is because of ignorance and delusion that we think that we can realize this all-pervading consciousness in meditation alone.

The entire world is pervaded and inter-woven by the pure, immaculate consciousness, which is our real identity. Understanding the majesty of this inner presence, one must live joyously knowing that ‘I am the Consciousness’.

It is liberation when the mind no more desires, or grieves, or holds, or leaves, or delights or is hateful. The mind becomes beautiful, poised and stable. Swamiji emphasizes that a seeker must have one desire alone—desire for Self-Knowledge.
