In this Satsang, Swamiji explains the lofty state of self-realized knowers. They have an expansive mind which is interested in the welfare of all beings on earth. They are in a state of absolute fulfillment and so have no interest in taking up any selfish activities. Instead of thinking about their own family, their minds and hearts foster a wish to help the whole society.

The Bhagavad Gita verse 5.26 is a singular verse which speaks about the Sadhana of a seeker, and the goal to be achieved. Those whose minds are reformed and refined, whose minds are free of desires and hatred (kama and krodha), those who are given to observing and analyzing their own personality, for such people, the redemption arising from the knowledge encircles them wherever they go.

In other chapters also, Bhagavad Gita speaks about such self-knowers who have abandoned all desires. It categorically states that a person who is desire-free, and who has an expansive, assimilative, and equal mind attains peace and not one who constantly desires objects of the world. In the Jnani (self-knower), the ‘I’ factor remains pre-dominant. He naturally engages in actions and interactions but keeps his mind free of desires and hatred.

When one remains active and interactive in the world without desires, possessiveness or doership, one attains peace. So, a seeker must strive to sublimate the desires arising in the mind. When the mind is free of desires, fear and anger, then alone one gets liberated. Swamiji emphasizes that liberation is not a property of the ascetics alone. Any person who has freed his mind of desires, fear and anger and made the mind and heart pure, is ever-liberated.
