Ma Gurupriya

217 – Divinising the Day 14 I Swamini Ma Gurupriya

484 Views | 1 month ago

Ma Gurupriya ji's reflections on Poojya Swamiji's morning messages (Prabhata Rashmih)
Date: 14 December 2024
Venue: Vijnana Bhavan, Narayanashrama Tapovanam

In this Satsang, discussing Poojya Swamiji’s book (Prabhata Rashmih-Vol 1), Ma emphasizes that a seeker of Truth must realize the Self within and perceive the same Self everywhere. Unless the spiritual fruition takes place in the active and interactive state, it can never be useful to a seeker. The spiritual goal of a seeker is to acquire the wisdom by which he will be able to remain constantly in communion with the goal.

One may experience the touch of the self in meditation. But what about the active and interactive state? The meditative peace and calm must permeate into the wakeful hours also. The purpose of any Yoga is to enable the seeker to constantly perceive the Self in all beings and all beings as present in the Self. This universal vision is the aim of all Yoga.

In the life and pursuit of a seeker, sublimation of the personality must be the constant aim. It must be an all-fold, constant Sadhana. The process of sublimation, purification and refinement must be at work, without any break. When the mind becomes pure, thoughts become noble, and when the intelligence becomes self-reminding about divinity, then one becomes spiritual. The transformation must be all-fold, in the active and interactive hours.

The seeker must become sublime and radiate sublimity. He must get rid of all constrictions, dissolve his ego and all the undue preferences and prejudices. In this Sadhana of sublimation and expansion, he must seek the help and guidance of the Guru. The aim must be to make every moment of life divine and sublime.

Shlokas chanted in the Satsang:
7:58 - तत्त्वमाध्यात्मिकं दृष्ट्वा तत्त्वं.. Mandukya Karika 2.38
9:32 - सर्वभूतस्थमात्मानं सर्वभूतानि चात्मनि…Bhagavad Gita 6.29
